The GRS School Board approves the school budget in May or June of each year for the next fiscal year. The board treasurer and school director will often offer a revised budget once the school year is underway and the student population has solidified. This ensures the financial health of the school. From 2006 through 2010, GRS received the Minnesota Department of Education’s Finance Award awarded to the top 7% of Minnesota school districts. This is a testament to the fine work by the Treasurer, Head of School and School Board in monitoring our budget and financial practices.  Each year since then, we have been able to add to the fund balance which keeps our school in a positive financial position.
