Athletics
Athletics and physical activity are an important part of our school’s program to develop the intellectual, emotional and social maturity of the students while at the same time teaching the importance of teamwork, leadership, and sportsmanship. We believe that interscholastic athletics supplements the secondary curricular program, and as such, becomes a vital aprt of a student’s total educaional experience. Those experiences provide opportunities for the student to make maximum use of her/his education. The character traits taught in sports can provide a stepping stone that helps young people become well balanced adults that lead productive lives.
The athletic department encourages all students to take advantage of as many programs as time and talent allow. We do not encourage specialization in one sport, rather encourage students to experience a variety of sports as well as other activities.
