Adolescent 1
Sports for Adolescent I (7/8)
In the Adolescent 1 level, the program is designed to teach skills and have fun in a competitive environment. Students participate in the LIST (League of Independent Teams) League. All sports are co-educational and focus on fun, skill development and teamwork. Please read the Code of Conduct Agreement 2012-2013 for information on how to conduct yourself during LIST games. The Coordinator at GRS for the LIST League is Matt McElrath. Please contact him if you have any questions or need information about A1 sports.
Eligibility:
1) Have a current physical on file (expires every 3 years) Consent for Medical Treatment 2012-2013
2) Pay appropriate registration fees at the beginning of each sport season (make checks out to Great River School)
3) Sign the Liabilit Medical Release 2012-2013 form

Fall Sports
Fall Soccer has begun with practice at McMurray Fields
Registration fee: $65 per player.
Practice will be held each Tuesday. Games will be on at different locations (101 Snelling Lake Road, Minneapolis, 55111)
A1 Soccer Game Schedule - (Games are on Fridays unless we have a bye, weather or scheduling conflict).
Co-ed Cross Country
Cross Country: start date 8/13/12 (at GRS); fee $125
Meet schedule to be posted in late summer or early fall.
Football
Football is here for the cooperative! We are joining St. Paul Academy, a private college preparatory school in the Tri-Metro Conference. Football is open to students in grades 7-12. This promises to be an exciting partnership! SPA will provide all game and practice facilities and transportation from their campus at 1712 Randolph Avenue in St. Paul to games. GRS parents/guardians are responsible for transportation to and from practices and to the campus for away and home games.
Fee $125 payable to Great River School.

Winter Sports
Basketball; fee $65 (to be confirmed)
Practices are generally held every Tuesday from 4-5:30 at the Minnehaha Rec Center from early December through mid-February. Games will be on Fridays at various locations around Saint Paul. There is a $65 fee to join. Medical forms and emergency contact information are due this Friday, Dec 2 and should be turned into the front office. Copies of these forms can be found on the school website under A1 athletics. The co-ed team will be coached by Laura Stickney and Jacob Vraa. Never played basketball before but want to learn how? Join today! Students of all abilities and experience are welcome!
