Adolescent 1
Sports for Adolescent I (7/8)
In the Adolescent 1 level, the program is designed to teach skills and have fun in a competitive environment. Students participate in the LIST (League of Independent Teams) League. All sports are co-educational and focus on fun, skill development and teamwork. Please read the LIST Code Of Conduct for information on how to conduct yourself during LIST games. The Coordinator at GRS for the LIST League is Randi McClure. Please contact her if you have any questions or need information about A1 sports.
Eligibility:
1) Have a current physical on file (expires every 3 years) (Physical Examination Form)
2) Pay appropriate registration fees at the beginning of each sport season (make checks out to Great River School)
3. Forms can be found on the LIST League website.
Fall Sports
Fall Soccer begins on Friday, September 23, ending Friday, November 4. Registration fee: $65 per player. Practice will be held each Tuesday at the Rice and Arlington Sports Complex at the corner of Rice and Nebraska in St. Paul. Games will be on at the Fort Snelling Athletic fields (101 Snelling Lake Road, Minneapolis, 55111)
2011 Game Schedule coming – (Games are on Fridays unless we have a bye, weather or scheduling conflict).
Boys and Girls Cross Country teams:
Boys Cross Country: start date 8/15/11 (at GRS); fee $85
Girls Cross Country: start date 8/15/11 (at GRS); fee $85

Winter Sports
Basketball
The A1 basketball season is starting! Practices will be held every Tuesday from 4-5:30 at the Minnehaha Rec Center from December 6 through February 17. Games will be on Fridays at various locations around Saint Paul. There is a $65 fee to join. Medical forms and emergency contact information are due this Friday, Dec 2 and should be turned into the front office. Copies of these forms can be found on the school website under A1 athletics. The co-ed team will be coached by Laura Stickney and Jacob Vraa. Never played basketball before but want to learn how? Join today! Students of all abilities and experience are welcome!
