Operations Leader Community Feedback April 17-21, 2014

The Search Committee kicked off in January, and developed application packages and the posted job description soliciting applicants for both Pedagogy and Operations leaders in February. Throughout February and March the Search Committee provided application packages to nine individuals who expressed interest in the Operations leadership position.

This process was very effective to distinguish the characteristics and strengths of all three candidates. After careful analysis of application materials and interview responses, the full panel unanimously and enthusiastically agreed to recommend Sam O’Brien be considered by the full Great River School community for the Operations leadership position. At Great River, Sam currently guides A3 IB and lower elementary art, as well as serving as Level Coordinator for A3 and on the Finance Committee of the Board. In addition to his experience serving the Great River community since 2008, Sam has been an educator of youth from kindergarten through college level since 1997. Sam also brings diverse experience outside of education, including owning a business and coaching world championship Ultimate Frisbee teams.

Please CLICK ON THE BLUE TITLE ABOVE for more information including the application package, Sam’s resume and cover letter, and a schedule of on and off campus activities for the community to engage with Sam O’Brien. (NOTE: Saturday’s meet and greet opportunities will take place at Black Bear Crossing.)
