Little Shop of Horrors – Spring Musical

The spring musical, Little Shop of Horrors, was a great success. Congratulations to the cast and crew for making it such an entertaining event. The music was superb, the acting tremendous and the entertainment factor high.  Sold out performances definitely says something about the talent present at our school.

Annual Report released

Each year, the Minnesota Department of Education requests an annual report from each school. The report includes information about enrollment, finances, test scores etc.  Reviewing the 2012-2013  Annual Report  reveals the growth and success of Great River School.

Community Service at GRS

Over the last two weeks A1 students led by Lindy Hasty (class of 2009) have made 139 valentines and 60 valentine treat bags to deliver to battered women’s shelters for Valentine’s Day.  Lindy returned to work with 7th and 8th grade students with the hope of making a difference in the lives of women.

Safe Routes to Schools

GRS is participating in a nationwide effort to encourage more biking and walking AND make it safer for students to walk or bike by creating a Safe Routes To Schools Plan. We need the input of all students who bike and walk to school at any time of the year to help us create this plan. Using an interactive Wiki map, we want you to tell us how you currently walk or bike to school and what barriers you find. This will take about 5-8 minutes to complete. Thank you for your help.

2. Note that GRS is the blue point on the map.

3. Use the map to draw the route you take to walk or bike to school.
