Practical Information
School Day
Great River School’s
(GRS) day begins at 8:30 am and ends at 3:30 pm. The building will be
open from 7:30 am to 4:15 pm for students who need to arrive early or
stay late.
Transportation
Parents are responsible
for the transportation of their children. Great River School understands
the significance of viable transportation and will work with families
to help set up carpools and/or figure out public transportation routes.
Students are also encouraged to bike to school when weather allows for
it. Option to ride Metro Transit is also available.
Special Education
Special education services are available
for students who are identified to receive them. GRS has a
special education coordinator on staff.
Athletics and Clubs
Student participating in athletics or clubs
will have practices or meetings before or after school hours.
Parent Conferences
Parent conferences will be held twice a
year during the fall and spring.
Parent Involvement
GRS fosters a cooperative community and
encourages parent involvement. We need your help to make this
school great for your children. After completing a registration
form GRS will contact you about volunteer opportunities for
parents.
Material and Activity Fees
Great River reserves the
right to charge a fee for certain materials for activities.
