Registration is OPEN for 3rd-5th graders who can run and have fun Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:15-4:45. Practices will begin April 11th (after spring break) and go through June 4th.
Registration is open through March 7th and will be a lottery for equity. The lottery will happen on March 8 and families are notified shortly after. Scholarships are available and require no additional documentation so don't let that stop you from registering! Please only register if you are able to commit to both days.
Currently, we have enough coaches for ONE team (20 participants) and if we have additional coaches sign up, there could be a second team. Here's the registration link for runners.

MCA testing season is upon us and to improve concentration (and as a treat), students get a mint as they begin their test. Please drop off donations at the front office!
Come and join us for a full week of Summer Camp! You can sign up for a morning camp (9:00-12:00) and combine it with an afternoon camp (1:00-4:00) to make it a full day of fun. Campers will need to bring their lunches and will enjoy an outdoor, supervised lunch/recess in between the camps.
Our camps are a fun way for your camper to spend a week exploring, building, learning, moving, creating, and having a blast. At GRS, we treat each other and our environment with respect, and we are focused on being safe while having fun. We are open to all people from everywhere. No Montessori or Great River School experience necessary for a great summer here.
We are dedicated to making summer camp possible and affordable for all through our early-bird pricing, sibling discount, multi-program discount, and our scholarship program.
Check out all our camps at www.greatriverschool.org/summercamp.

The BIPOC Caregiver Committee is a group of caregivers who meet the first Thursday of each month to talk about ways that the school can be more inclusive for BIPOC students while also focusing on encouraging everyone in the school to explore their identity. All caregivers of BIPOC students are welcome.
Our next meeting is this Thursday, March 3rd at 7:00pm. Want to join the BIPOC Caregiver Committee? Email Anu (adean@greatriverschool.org) or Cassie (curbano@greatriverschool.org) to get connected!
We want to remind caregivers and students that pick-up and drop-off should happen only on the south side of the school. Caregivers should never pick up or drop off students in the business’ parking lots on either side of Great River.
Looking to avoid the long pickup line? Remember that caregivers can pick up or drop off on the other side of Pierce Butler and have students utilize the pedestrian bridge to walk a short distance to school.
Thank you for helping us to be respectful neighbors!

9 to 5 The Musical, with music and lyrics by Dolly Parton and book by Patricia Resnick, is based on the seminal 1980 hit movie. Set in the late 1970s, this hilarious story of friendship and revenge in the Rolodex era is outrageous, thought-provoking, and even a little romantic.
Recommended for ages 13 and up. This performance contains adult themes.
As compliant with GRS guidelines, masks are required for both audience and performers. Audience members should be vaccinated or have a negative test result within 72 hours of the performance.

Ultimate Frisbee is a very popular sport at Great River School. In order to keep the Spirit of the Game alive over the summer, we are offering Ultimate Camps for all skill levels. We have separate beginners and experienced camps for 4th-7th, one for all skill levels for 7th-10th graders and an experienced camp strictly for high schoolers, 9th-12th grade. These will all be led by our very own Aiden Clements and Scott Alseben who are amazing Ultimate players and coaches. These are during the weeks of June 27 and July 11.

“The school goes from grade 1-12, is only ~700 students, has a smaller budget than surrounding schools, and encourages lots of involvement. All this means that we know that students and families are a big part of the school and how it runs.” GRS parent, Elementary and Lower Adolescent
