Adolescent 7/8 Humanities Guide

The Lower Adolescent Social Studies guide prepares the learning environment for students to engage in social studies  in a culturally responsive and relevant context.

Adolescent Special Education Guide

The position is to work collaboratively within the Special Education Department and greater GRS community to support student development. The Elementary classroom guide leads the planning, organization, and support for a classroom of students in an authentic Montessori setting.

Elementary Special Education Guide

Lower Adolescent Social Worker

This position works collaboratively with the Student Services Department, which includes a team of three full time social workers. This position involves working with the Special Education teams, both through direct work with students and consultation with the team, working with Child Find Intervention processes and offering students social emotional interventions, convening groups, consulting with classroom guides and working collaboratively on wellness initiatives with the student services team. Adolescent Special Education - Education Assistant

The position is to work collaboratively within the Special Education Department and greater GRS community to support student development. The role of the Special Education Educational Assistant  is to further our mission to provide a quality Montessori / IB education through inspiring learning environments and strong relationships based on respect for the gifts of each student.

Assistant IB Science Coordinator 

The Assistant IB Science Coordinator supports the implementation, accessibility, and continuous improvement of International Baccalaureate (IB) STEM coursework at Great River School. This position focuses on strengthening inclusive instructional design, expanding experiential science learning, supporting collaboration between IB and Special Education staff, and monitoring equitable student participation and success in IB science courses. The Assistant IB Science Coordinator serves as a systems-level instructional leader working with teachers, support staff, students, and families to ensure that the school’s “IB for All” model translates into sustained participation and success for diverse learners.

Elementary Classroom Assistant

This position supports the Montessori trained lead guide in an elementary classroom of around 32 students. Primary responsibilities include preparing and maintaining the classroom environment, supporting the daily schedule and routines, supporting students in being independent, material making, and contributing to the elementary team.
