Last Week to Purchase GRS Mugs

Did you know that the Blue Heron Bash online auction still has available items? This is your last week to order student-made GRS mugs:

“Torben and his siblings (UA students) invested in a pottery wheel and later in a kiln because they missed ceramics at GRS so much during the pandemic. Torben is a fan of making mugs so with the help of the GRS Athena robotics team and their 3-D printing skills, created this lovely “limited edition” stamped mug. Each mug is handcrafted from medium fire white clay & finished with iron oxide & textured turquoise glaze.”

Place your order today! Orders are due Friday, May 27th. These would make a great graduation or teacher gift!

BIPOC Reading List

The BIPOC Caregiver Group would like to gather book titles and reading suggestions from all members of the GRS community. As a community of readers, this is a way to share what you or people in your home have been reading that represents BIPOC voices. Please take some time to fill out the form and add to the list. We would like as many suggestions as possible by the beginning of June so that the BIPCO caregiver group can share what we have gathered before summer.

Experiential Learning in May (ELM) - SENIORS ONLY

Once IB testing concludes, seniors take part in Experiential Learning in May (ELM) May 25-June 3rd. ELM is available to all students in good academic standing. While fun, ELM is still a graduation requirement, and students are expected to be there unless they are finishing up course work or if there is a medical reason they can't attend. You can find the ELM calendar link here.

Families should complete the ELM permission forms and the specific Sailing Center waiver and the Storm Drain Cleaning permission form as soon as possible. Any questions can be directed to Director of College Access and ELM leader extraordinaire Theresa Hitchens Olson (thichensolson@greatriverschool.org).
