Great River School Spring Play 2024

“The Play that Goes Wrong”

The Play That Goes Wrong begins before the curtain has even been raised, as the audience are present while the Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society prepare to stage their new production – the 1920s murder mystery 'Murder at Haversham Manor'. However the set is not yet complete and there is no time to finish it off…..the show must go on!

(Synopsis adapted from StageAgent)

Come and see Great Rivers 2024 Spring Play! Murder, mayhem, comedy, are all things you’ll find in The Play That Goes Wrong. According to the cast and crew, rehearsals are going good so far. There are many elements that the cast and crew are looking forward to the audience seeing, especially the “hard work that we’ve all put in”, as well as the audience seeing some of the costumes, as the cast thinks that they will make the audience laugh. George says that “all of the audience interaction bits, it’s really funny and something that we don’t see often” as to what he is most excited about the audience seeing. People should come see The Play That Goes Wrong because it’s really funny! A member of the cast  says that the “plot is really good”. Also if you like technical heavy comedy  and physical comedy this is the play for you according to another cast member.

As to their favorite parts of the experience so far Mino says “the community bonding experience”, Robin agrees, especially on the tech end “the tech people are a super fun group and are having a fun time”. George’s favorite part is the “really long director speeches” that he has to memorize.
