LIST (League of Independent School Teams) is a consortium of private and charter school teams that organize a series of co-ed seasons, including soccer, basketball and volleyball specifically for Middle Schools in the Twin Cities. The philosophy of LIST is to introduce students to these sports, so they are intentionally co-ed and cross grade-level. Participation and sportsmanship is encouraged over competition. LIST also encourages teams to only practice once or twice a week, with games every Friday. Students are exposed to the experience without it becoming overwhelming or all-encompassing. Great River School partners with Twin Cities German Immersion School to form LIST League teams.

Transportation for LIST Sports: Great River is not able to offer transportation for LIST league sports. Students generally carpool to games and practices and several students ride the bus to practices at West Minnehaha Rec. Center.
Fall co-ed soccer team is open to 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students. We will begin the season once everyone has returned from Fall trips. Practices will take place from 3:30 - 5:00pm on McMurray fields - which is located just north of Great River School in Como Park.
Games will take place every Wednesday (grades 5th and 6th at 4:30 or 5:30 pm ) and Friday (grades 7th and 8th at 4:30 or 5:30 pm ) beginning Sept. 19th. The league generally publishes the game schedule around Labor Day weekend. Once we have the schedule, it will be posted on the here and emailed to parents.
LIST fees for soccer are $75 and can be paid by cash or check at the Front Office.
